UNFLEDGED - short film (IN DEVELOPMENT)
Growing up in his father’s auto repair shop, 11-year-old Pavel is left behind while his family attends a funeral. Eager to feel included and prove his courage, he joins two boys who record each other performing reckless dares. When he’s pushed to shoot down a bird’s nest—filming the act on the phone his mother gave him “only for emergencies”—a childish game turns into an irreversible encounter with death, guilt, and the complexities of growing up. Set in a rural village and told with minimal dialogue, Unfledged is a quiet, fable-like exploration of the moment childhood ends.
